Small Business Navigators
In April 2020, the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Forsyth Tech’s Small Business Center and with support from the Clemmons Community Foundation, launched a business assistance pilot program called Small Business Navigators.
The program connected a resource person, also known as a Navigator, to small businesses, nonprofits, and self-employed individuals to help them understand the various Covid-19 programs and opportunities available in our community.
The Navigators worked one-on-one to help employers identify what’s available, the criteria, and what’s needed in the application process, and where to apply. Employers did not need to be Chamber members. Every employer in Clemmons and Lewisville could access a personal Navigator to help guide them through the ever-changing maze of resources available.
A number of small business owners were helped through the pilot program before its official end date of June 30, 2020. A list of available resources is listed below. Small business owners, nonprofits, and the self-employed can send an email to info@smallbusinessnavigators.com to be connected to a Navigator through the end of the year. The Navigators
The Resource Navigators are business professionals from the fields of banking, accounting, finance, insurance, as well as Small Business Center mentors who have all stepped up to generously volunteer a portion of their time to have a confidential conversation and offer assistance.
